The Virtual Teacher thing…

An activity that a teacher can direct when a he/she is absent is a blog postor something like that that you can just write down the question and the students can answer it.The students should already know how to log in to their own blogs and they can just post the assignment and the  teacher can check it while he/she is at home too. Then after looking at it the teacher can grade it on whatever they feel like basing it on, then if a certain student needs extra help they can just ask the teacher online, and the teacher will know that they are participating if they actually do the assignment and how much they understand it.So I do think that, that would be pretty cool.=]

You seem to understand how this might work. A blog sounds like a good place for questions and answers. You observed that the teacher will know who is participating because they posted a response or asked a question. Do you think that some of the students might not participate because the teacher is not in class? What if this student were in your group and you were working on a project together? How would you handle that situation?

What if you had a question that needed to be answered right away, but the teacher wasn’t online to answer. What could you do then? Could you find the answer some other way? Who could you ask or where would you look for an answer?

Thanks for commenting on my blog. While I am here, I hope you don’t mind if I read some of your other postings.
